EQUITY INTERNATIONAL ANNOUNCES AMERICAN ECONOMIC RECOVERY SUMMIT

March 30, 2009 (Washington, DC) - Equity International, the premier facilitator of solutions, announced today that they will present the American Economic Recovery Summit, a major 3-day event, April 28-30th in the Nation’s Capitol to address critical issues facing our country and the American people. The summit will be held at the historic Willard Intercontinental Hotel, located at 1401 Pennsylvania Ave, NW in Washington, DC. 20004.

In response to President Obama recently signing the economic stimulus bill, the summit is designed to introduce the specifics of the federal government’s massive economic recovery programs to American business, state and local governments and to the American people. The summit will provide the latest details on the ecomonic stimulus bill and other new federal recovery programs. Topics and program sessions include: technology, infrastructure, energy, healthcare, homeland security, defense, education, and more. Summit participants will include government, industry and business leaders.
Equity International will also host The National Jobs Fair scheduled for July this year. The event will be open and free to the public. The job fair will connect job-seekers with new jobs resulting from the new recovery programs. Information will also be provided on new bank lending programs, new housing programs, and new job training programs.
Equity International's economic recovery initiative is also highlighted by its participation on March 30th in the first Regional Response Initiative/ Green Economy Forum in Austin, Texas (ACC) with Congressman Lloyd Doggett, Texas State Representative Mark Strama, State Senator Kirk Watson business leaders Pike Powers and Equity International. The goal of the Austin forum is to begin development of a regional response to renewable energy initiatives as delineated in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. Equity International will also participate in a Congressional forum in Washington, D.C. on minority business participation in the economic stimulus program this week.
In addition to hosting the first National Jobs Fair & Economic Recovery Summit in Washington, Equity International will continue its leadership by presenting local jobs fairs and economic recovery forums in cities throughout the U.S. Equity International's mission is to speed economic recovery by helping the average citizen benefit from new government programs, by empowering regional leaders to develop effective local stimulus programs, and to advise businesses on how to participate in implementing the economic stimulus program.
