When it comes to gaining access to a BET event, BET uses government style methods. For example , BET requires all press person to show photo ID such as a driver licenses or passport, takes the person picture, gets the press persons home address along with other privacy information. Once all this is done BET puts the information in a their press database. This is according to reports from a Black Press Magazine reporter. BET allegedly was hacked because reporters across the country are claiming people are going to various events and saying they are those persons. The reporters have said it maybe related to the BET press database being that all the reporters who have claimed the privacy violation seem to be tied to this database.
