WPGC a CBS affiliated in the DMV(Washington, Maryland, Virginia) maybe sold. There is a insider's rumor in the broadcasting industry that WPGC maybe be sold. The station has been doing poor in the ratings. WPGC is a urban formatted station. At this point in time, inside sources are saying the idea is on the table but nothing is confirmed.
If you recall ,Heaven 1580, which was a CBS Radio affiliate, was closed down in the DMV. Heaven 1580 was the top Gospel radion stations but , it was not good enough for the corporate offices of CBS radio. Everyone knows the economy is not in very good shape nor is WPGC. The collectors are waiting on managment to make a move.
