The Independent Women’s Football Team, the DC Divas kicked off their 9th season recently with a 33-0 win over the Baltimore Nighthawks on April 11th, and the 35-0 win on April 25th over the Detroit Demolition. The DC Diva's currently undefeated are preparing to host their opening home game on May 2nd at the Prince Georges Sports and Learning Complex against the Pittsburgh Passion. Coming into the season the Divas stood at an impressive 57-17 since their inception in 2001. Included in this impressive record is a World Championship Title which was captured in 2006 as well as 5 consecutive division titles from 2003 to 2007. www.dcdivas.com
The Divas are extremely optimistic entering into their 9th season with a world class roster of women determined to capture another World Championship. Following a disappointing playoff experience in 2008 the new lineup made up of women from all over the Washington, DC metropolitan area are determined to bounce back.
