Wale, Tabi Booney and Marky are new names in hip hop but , in the District of Columbia, the three rappers are allowing light to shine on the hip hop community that functions in the underground world of Open Mic and unknown artist. D.C. is better known for politics , Go Go Music and being Chocoloate City but not for Hip Hop. All three artist have been signed by majors and are forming a buzz.

If we look at Tabi, you will see a person that partnered with Raheem Devaughn and GO Go music. Although some hardcore Go Go heads may not like the mix, the radio play did. Tabi sound sometimes breaks off from the Go Go sound but , he brought a new sound to the industry and, everyone likes hearing something new.

On the other hand, Wale with his Nike Boots got more love outside of the DMV but, he too used GO GO to obtain love from the people of the DMV. Wale himself has a totally different style and delivery then Tabi or Marky and , this could ad to Wale's life span in Hip Hop.

The last of the three from the DMV earned his buzz from the Go Go community with strong ruff beats and styles that the Go Go heads love. Marky style and arrangement of music has got him signed to Universal and, Mark is the youngest of the three. Marky has the backing of various big name producers and music industry executives. Although working with insiders is a plus, it can also drive you broke faster.

With Wale, Tabi and Marky having some success, this will allow the DMV to develop their own sound and style of hip hop. A new sound in hip hop will always generate record sales and money for the artist that make hits.
