Drama and details from day one of Karen Huger DUI case

Ray and Karen were in the lobby with their two lawyers, Scott Boden and Troy Poole. Allegedly, Ray and Boden were in some type of back and forth before coming into the courtroom. This deep discussion could have been about the attorney fees or the direction of the case. Karen was sitting not facing anyone. She was just looking at the lobby wall while all this was happening in the background.

Once the two person lawyer team entered the courtroom, they sat down with Karen Huger at the defense table. Ray and Karen Huger both were dressed in black. The only family member to show up in court was David Harrison from Surry county , VA. Others , such as Real housewives of Potomac cast members did not show up. The Huger's children did not show. With many DUI cases, it is always a lonely time for the defendant.

Details about the case

Today was mostly setting up the case for the trial. The jury will be selected. The questions that could be asked for each jury were being discussed along with witness and approval. During this process, details were leaked about the person on the scene along with Ray’s verbal and video comments at the scene. Ray Huger is a witness and may have hurt Karen’s case. We are assuming that Harrison was either in the car with Karen or he was on the phone during the crash.

Witness that in Karen Huger DUI Court Case

Ray was on video allegedly answering for Karen and chastising her at the same time. This was all caught on 4 hours of video footage. Karen’s defense team did not want any of Ray's video in the case. Karen’s defense team wanted to see what the prosecution would present to the jury during the trial. The Judge informed the defense that Ray comments on the video would be presented in full. Karen’s defense team wanted all comments of Ray Huger to be listed as hear say.

Another key point of the case that may have an impact trial is one witness that happen to be an ex 30 year Montgomery County Police office(MOCO). This person was identified as Edward C. Edward allegedly made the 911 call and identified himself as an ex police officer. Edward also may have made comments that Huger was wasted. Edward was working that night as a security guard.

Karen’s defense team does not want Edward to be noted to the Jury as an ex moco police officer.
