Sheila Stewart is a community activist in her own right. Although Stewart is best known as a news director and radio and Tv anchor, she is known as a person that is for the community. Stewart along with the help of Carolina Missionary Baptist Church in Maryland were able to pull off a fund raiser to help single parents with HIV. The funds will be donated to My Sisters Keeper. My Sisters Keeper is planning to build a home or homes for single moms that have HIV.
The audience paid to see young men and women choir's preform. The contest was judged by some national known names and local names based around the Washington D.C. Area. The list of names goes as follows. Caron Butler of Washington Wizards, Anwan Glover aka Big G of HBO the Wire and a member of the GO GO band titled Backyard, Shaqwana of the Russ Parr Morning Show, Antonio of WKYS, Angie Ang of WKYS, and many more. The photos of the event should bring insight into the support received along with the video.
