Van Lathan and Michael Babcock have started a little buzz in the media lately. Many of you may not know Lathan but, he is one of the black dudes on TMZ. Lathan rose from the other camera pickers of the TMZ plantation after his confrontation with Kanye West over a slavery topic. After all the drama with West, Lathan joined the same management team that handles Charlemagne Da God brand building business.
Page six reported that Lathan had been fired from TMZ. After the firing, Lathan's family members stated that he was ok and even Lathan stated that he was ok. Lathan ,who was over 300 pounds at one point in his life, had people worried that he may start some type of food frenzy and fall back to blimp man .
The video bloggers have been documenting their opinions on this . One thought is Lathan's fame. The rule of thumb while working at TMZ is no one is bigger then Harvey Levin. Levin is the face of TMZ but, Lathan was gaining ground in the I know that face ranking due to his new management team. Many think Lathan new fame may have played a factor into his firing.
