Around 1pm on June 26, 2018, the Capital Gazette newspaper in state capital of Maryland was terrorized by a lone gunman. At the time of the massacre, the gunman details were not identified. The local police were on the scene with in minutes of the shooting. source USA Today
The shooter would not give the police any information after he was caught. The police used other investigation techniques to identify the shooter. The outcome of the immediate investigation was the raid on an apartment in the city of Laurel Maryland. The ATF, FBI, Laurel city police and other law enforcement units were at the apartment and had the streets blocked.
As dawn began to take over the sky, the name of the person in custody was released. The name of the alleged shooter is Jarrod Ramos. Ramos had issues with the Capital Gazette due to an article about him in the year of 2012.
