Algernon J. Cooper III was arrested for allegedly firing off a .37 mm launcher. Cooper allegedly broke the law doing a New Years celebration. Cooper , a DC native, was chased by police from 1200 Delafield ST NW to 4800 block of Georgia Ave NW. He was seen with a woman holding a white dog.
At this point in time, Cooper is charged with carrying a dangerous weapon. Although the police recovered a backpack with Coopers name on it and some other items, this still dose not prove Cooper fired the gun. The dog or woman could have done it. Please remember Cooper was the host of Teen Summit from 2000 to 2003.
