The magazine, news and rag rack at your local publication pickup is filled with great selections. In 2007, a few brave publishers released their idea of what people may buy to read and support. Although the items listed below are targeted towards African Americans, it does not mean they are own and operated by a majority African American staff. Streetroachpics.com has gathered a few new publications that have appeared on the magazine racks in 2007.
Reservations
Reservations is a bi-monthly magazine with the goal of being the ultimate African-American travel guide. Vivica Fox was featured in the magazine at one point.
Black Lingerie
This magazine will show pictures of sexy, curvy women with not much on their bodies. If you like phat black tail, this is for you.
Avenue Report
Avenue Report is targeted to the professional African-American male. It wants to connect with the this particular demographic because the publisher feels it is not well represented on the stands and in homes.
Kitu Kizuri
This is targeted to women from African but they live in the United States. It has topics that inform the women in this demographic. Some the topics are based on the day to day life of African born women . For example ,it has stories about maintaining their families and cultures in America. It also has fashion, relationship tips, and children topics.
Ubran Ink
If you are person of color and ,you like tattoos, this is the magazine for you. It focuses on various areas of being this body art as it relates to people of color.
Chocolate Brides Magazine
This magazine is printed quarterly. This magazine is to help African American couples find and view new ideas when it comes to marriage.
