Did 50 cent imply white artist sell more then black artist?

Yesterday, a follower of 50's tweeted that the rapper is "never gonna sell like eminem." Eminem's "Recovery". 50 also twitted that "no black artist is ever gonna sell like EM (expletive)hole lol."
Is this an on going saga in the music industry.
