Although Tony Rock is best known as Chris Rock's brother, Tony Rock has made a name for himself in Hollywood. Tony Rock was inspired to help families after his father died from complications related to diabetes. Tony Rock started the MyRock Foundation. This event holds an annual charity event in LA to raise money.
MyROCK Foundation plans for their 3rd annual "Live to Laugh" toy drive charity event. This event, established by comedian/actor Tony Rock, was organized to help build awareness and prevention of diabetes amongst African Americans, since losing his father from health issues caused by diabetes complications.
Live to LAUGH will provide 100 low income families struggling with terminal illnesses caused by diabetes with gift baskets. The objective is to inspire, encourage, and get people to laugh in the midst of their situation. In accomplishing this, the funny man has committed himself to a project that will bring out fellow comedians, actors/actresses, athletes, musicians, and supporters to enjoy a night of games, laughter, and most importantly, charity.
Live to LAUGH 's red-carpet "Casino Night" event will be held in Hollywood, California on Thursday, December 16th at the W Hotel-Hollywood, where all donations and proceeds will benefit low income families suffering from diabetes related illnesses.
