Now that Michael Jackson is in a peaceful place, it is time to make the short list of the main players that benefited from his death. The Jackson family is not on this list of people. Family always should receive something after someone dies. If you don't want to know, you should stop reading now.

If we do a little home work, we know a few things. Michael Jackson was successful in the music business, lived a hell of a lifestyle, owned half of Sony music, owned most of his publishing for his works, partnered in ATV publishing and owned the Beatles collection catalog of 250 songs. This alone should blow your mind.

Lets go back in time when Mike was at the top and at his strongest just after Jackson brought the Beatles catalog. He was part owner of ATV publishing and on top of his game. Ten years later he had to use the catalog as collateral. This was the beginning of the short list.

The next person on the list is Sony Music. You guys remember the beef with Tommy Mottola. Jackson called Mottola the devil. Jackson even made bold statements in the press according to Fox News.

Jackson stated:

At an event in London over the weekend, Jackson told his British fan club that he was done with Sony. All he had left to fulfill his contract, he said, was a greatest hits album with three new tracks. The new tracks were done, he said, and that was it. He bragged that he was leaving with his half of the Beatles catalog.

But this statement was made only due to Jackson's new friends Al Sharpton, Johnny Cohoran and Jessie Jackson. Sony Later released this statement.

"A lot of debt with us here at Sony. We have no interest in foreclosing on it as long as Michael fulfills the terms of his agreement with us. He's paying off the interest as far as I know, and that's what's going to happen."

The last player on the short is AEG. AEG you know them. They backed the Jackson concert deal. They stop the filming of Jackson's practices because cost run up to 25 million just for the filming.

Now lets formulate the list and the roles.

If we take some information from Micheal Jackson dot come, we will have our first player on the list.

From the website ...

anyone else find it ... uh... "interesting" that the bidder who won the footage to michael's rehearsal's was sony? SONY?! the company that for years attempted to buy out his half of the catalouge, the company that immediately cancelled all promotions (including video and single releases) from his AMAZING album invincible? the company that tried desperately to create an atmosphere of failure regarding the album despite its extremely successful status? the company that michael found out was double crossing him (he did an investigation and it came to light that his attorney representing him in receiving the rights to his songs was ALSO working for sony, so he was being conspired & doubl crossed rather blatantly)? etc etc etc... i could go on... wikipedia it if you dont know what they had done to him and about the conspiracy that most people in the music industry and most mj fans know about. anyway... i'm just asking. anyone else think its odd that of all productions companies (paramount? universal? dreamworks? etc etc) SONY ... the company michael spent the last years of his life fueding with, the company that tried desperately to have him fail- and then when they COULDNT get him to fail ... they kept acting & pretending like he had? sony gets the rights?!

We now have confirmed the player Sony Music and lets add a Jackson quote from 2003.

"The Beatles catalogue is not for sale, has not been for sale and will never be for sale."

AEG the promoters lets look at some facts on them. During the arrangements of the show, AEG was upset with the cost of the filming and stop it but , as soon as Jackson was dead, AEG collected all the footage and come up with a marketing plan to milk a dead man's soul. In a capitalist society , there is nothing wrong with it as long as the dead man was not murdered.

All the two players need now on the short list is a smoking gun. All we know is a Doctor was the last man to see Jackson alive and, he holds all the keys to the story. All we know is Sony now owns the Beatles catalog , and Michael Jackson's works. All we know is AEG got 60 million for the video footage and any long time commercial value associated with the footage.

The short list is complete.
