If you have not heard by now, Wendy Williams the self proclaimed queen of radio is leaving WBLS in New York. Williams run in radio has been filled with the good , the bad and happy fans along the way. Although Williams has been able to make that backend money from book deals, parties and other TV shows because of her radio career, Williams price tag to WBLS is too high.
A list of past events and Williams ability to stay on top put her out of the reach for WBLS. For example, the recent lawsuit the station took from a past employee. Although Williams friend, lover and husband allegedly caused much drama at the station, she still was able to keep good ratings with the PPM rating system. The ratings can add more zeros to your check or get you more perks but , due to the current economy, WBLS is cutting the fat meat.
