Al Sharpton the National Action Network leader was apart of a major protest effort that took part the United States on Tuesday. Over 20 cities saw NAN members protest against degrading lyrics in rap music. This Day was titled Day of Outrage. The NAN wants to government to remove funds from companies that support artist that use degrading lyrics. Although some people feel this effects their freedom of speech, it appears the NAN does not care about freedom of speech but , they care about image and influence on youth that are the biggest consumers of music. Rap music is mostly brought by white males and , this could be a factor in NAN actions to date.
